Contrasting garter stitch and lace segments create a mix of colours and textures in this project. It’s an entertaining knit which keeps you interested with the changes of stitch patterns and colours. The shawl is worked as a classic rectangle shape. Stitch patterns are in text only. The wrap is easy to wear and perfect for wrapping around your neck or tossed over one shoulder. You can use a pin and wear it like a poncho as an alternative look. The construction starts with a provisional cast on to allow for matching lace edges. Stitch patterns are worked in sequence, with alternating colours creating an asymmetrically patterned wrap. Links have been provided to blog tutorials for support. The pattern is listed as advanced, however the tutorials make this project accessible to intermediate knitters as well.
