The Generation Gap
Pattern Description
Judy was cleaning out her attic with her grandson, Luke, when she came across an old sweater that her father used to wear a long time ago. Luke fell in love with the sweater. It had subtle texture and two colors on the front and a solid color on the back and sleeves. Its retro look has definitely come back into style. The problem was that moths had gotten to it and darning could not repair it. Judy decided to bring it to our store to see if we could replicate it. We searched through a few stitch books and found a simple slip stitch pattern using two colors that fit the bill. We wrote her this pattern and Luke loved the sweater. Who knows who will come across one in the next few generations?
Yarn is worked double throughout hte sweater--this means you should hold 2 strands of A or B together as though they are 1.
