The Ganado Shawl is inspired by basket and pottery art from a Navajo Reservation in Ganado, AZ where my father was raised.

It is a semi-circle pi shawl worked from the
top down and ending with a picot bind off.

Perfect for cool summer nights.

This shawl was made with 2 skeins of Araucania Huasco Sock yarn. You will need approximately 850 yards.

The pattern contains both written and charted instructions.

This is a good project for the advanced beginner or as an introduction to lace knitting. Since it is a pi shawl the increases happen all at once in a single row. This way you can concentrate on lace stitches and repeats without having to worry about increases or decreases.
