The Evangeline Shawlette
This is a simple yet elegant shawlette which contains minimal space at the top and flows into open lace near the bottom. The Evangeline was made to be longer horizontally with more to wrap around and less length vertically making it suitable to also be worn as a scarf.
Fingering weight yarn in 3ply or 4ply would be suited to this project.
Using the recommended yarn and hook size this pattern will create a Shawlette for an adult with a wingspan of 115cm. This is also a great size for a childs shawl.
If you wish for a larger shawl for an adult you can increase hook size up to 4mm which will give you a wingspan of approximately 170cm using a 4ply Fingering Yarn.
Instructions for the removable tassels are also included within this pattern.

I have had this pattern tested though human error can still apply sometimes. Please send me a message if you have any problems.
I have now updated this pattern to include the extended length version. Please note that the extended version will use quite a bit more yarn. I used approximately 1000m of 4ply Fingering Weight Yarn.
