The Eden Baby Blanket Pattern is a great pattern for those who want to do more than a simple granny square blanket. There is only one square design, and the pattern includes a tutorial on how to complete the joining method used (the Continuous Flat Braid Join). It really makes a stunning baby blanket; I designed it with two contrasting colors, but it could look lovely in all one color, or using multiple colors for the squares (see projects for some great examples).

Gauge: the gauge is 5” x 5” for a finished granny square

Difficulty Level: Intermediate; the joining method for this blanket is a little more complicated, though it is described in detail.

The finished product as described in the pattern is approximately 42” x 36”. It can be easily modified by adding or decreasing the number of granny squares used.
