A cereal bowl come to life. This granny square baby blanket features eight original marshmallow shapes (heart, star, horseshoe, clover, moon, pot of gold, rainbow, and balloon), each written from scratch to match its real-life counterpart and to share the same 15 double crochet stitch count between corners for easy seaming.

The finished blanket uses 80 squares in an 8 column by 10 row layout, arranged in a randomized version of the classic jingle order so no single shape lines up in a row or diagonal. A full layout chart is included as a free PDF download.

Use squares however you’d like for smaller projects (a pillow or tote would use far fewer than 80).
