The Cashmere-Waffle Polo

The Cashmere-Waffle-Polo is a modern classic. The Waffle-Pattern creates an extra cozy texture and adds comfort to your cashmere polo.

Construction
The waffle polo is knit from the top down.
First, you work the back piece using short rows.
Then stitches are picked up along the shoulder edge for the two front pieces. This creates a slightly backward-shifted shoulder seam (also known as “English tailoring”). Once the desired depth of the front neckline is reached, the work is joined in the round, and the top of the sleeve caps is shaped using short-rows. This creates a beautiful, round shoulder.

Sweater Circumference The finished sweater has a bust circumference of 41 (42.5, 44.5, 46.5) (48.5, 50.5, 52) ″

Sizing The sweater is worn with an ease of approximately 4 – 6″ in relation to your bust measurement (measured on the body). The sweater is worn loosely but not oversized. Ultimately, your personal taste and comfort decide which size you choose. The model in the picture is wearing size M with a bust measurement of 38″.

personal measurements, your yarn consumption may
be higher.
Alternatively, you can choose a suitable sport-weight
yarn. It is important that the blocked gauge swatch
matches the gauge of the original yarn.

Gauge 25 stitches and 42 rows = 4 × 4″ in Wafle-Pattern
on US 5/3,75 mm needles. Measured after
gentle blocking.

Needles US 5/3.75 mm/32 – 40″ circular needle
(depending on desired size), US 4/ 3.5 mm/
32 – 40″ circular needle for ribbing US 3/
3.25 mm/24″ circular needle for the collar
DPN’s US 5 and US 4 for knitting a small
circumference (sleeve), if you do not want to use
the magic-loop method.

Notions Extra cables or scrap yarn to put stitches on hold,
tapestry needle, at least 4 stitch markers,
4 removable markers, one unique Marker for
the beginning of the round.

The Cashmere-Waffle Polo

Das Cashmere-Waffle-Polo ist ein moderner Klassiker im Waffelmuster. Das Muster verleiht dem Langarm-Poloshirt eine extra kuschlige Struktur.

Konstruktion
Das Waffle-Polo wird von oben nach unten gestrickt.
Zuerst arbeitest du die Rückenpartie mithilfe verkürzter Reihen.
Dann werden entlang der Schulterkante Maschen für die beiden Vorderteile aufgenommen. Dadurch entsteht eine leicht nach hinten versetzte Schulternaht (englische Schulter). Sobald die gewünschte Tiefe des vorderen Ausschnitts erreicht ist, wird die Arbeit zur Runde geschlossen und die obere Armkugel geformt.

Brustumfang Pullover Der Brustumfang des fertigen Polos beträgt 104 (108, 113, 118) (123, 128, 132) cm

Größenguide: Der Pullover hat eine Mehrweite von 10–15 cm
in Relation zu deinem Brustumfang (am Körper gemessen). Der Pullover wird locker getragen, aber nicht oversize. Letztlich entscheiden dein Geschmack und dein Tragekomfort, für welche Größe du dich entscheidest. Das Model im Bild trägt Größe M bei einem Brustumfang von 97 cm.

Bitte beachte, wenn du etwas nach deinen
persönlichen Maßen veränderst, dass dein
Garnverbrauch größer sein kann.
Alternativ kannst du auch ein passendes Garn in
Sport-Weight wählen. Wichtig ist, dass die
gewaschene Maschenprobe der Maschenprobe
des Originalgarns entspricht.

Maschenprobe: 25 Maschen und 42 Reihen = 10 × 10 cm,
gestrickt im Waffelmuster mit
Nadelstärke 3,75 mm.

(abhängig vom gewählten Umfang/

den Polokragen
Nadelspiel 3,75 mm und 3,5 mm (nur erforderlich,
falls die Ärmel nicht mit der Magic-Loop-Technik
gestrickt werden)

Zubehör: Extra-Seile, um Maschen stillzulegen, Wollnadel
