The Bramble Socks
Looking for a sock pattern with a good balance between vanilla knitting and interesting patterning?
The texture panel down the front of the Bramble Socks involves a little bit of everything; slipped stitches, purled stitches, knit stitches. The back of the sock is mindless stockinette, just enough to give you a break and get you excited for the next pattern repeat.
Skill level: advanced beginner. If you know how to knit, purl, increase, decrease, and knit in the round, you can knit these socks.
Needles: US 2 (2.75 mm), 32-40’’ circular needle for magic loop.
Gauge: 32 stitches by 56 rounds over 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Yarn/Yardage: 50-100 grams of fingering weight yarn will be enough for any one size.
Sizes: Pattens has 5 sizes for foot circumferences 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 inches. Pattern also includes foot/shoe charts in UK and US sizing for help in determination of foot length.
Happy Knitting!
