Shelter From The Storm

This cowl was inspired by peaceful walks through snow storms, when the sounds of the city disappear, silenced by the falling snow. All you hear is your breath, and your footsteps in the snow. All you feel is warmth—from a soft, cozy cowl—and gratitude for the simple, wondrous moment.

Finished Measurements
18” (46 cm) tall x 32” (81 cm) circumference.

Yarn(s)
This pattern uses one strand of fingering-weight yarn and one strand of lace-weight yarn held together. I have guesstimated the resulting weight as “sport”, but please be aware that this is simply a guideline. As always, you much achieve the correct gauge to ensure accurate results.

(A) Katia Concept Silky Lace (80%, Extrafine Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Silk; 284 yards 260 meters / 50 grams): 3 balls in shade #152 (Off White).

(B) Katia Concept Silk-Mohair (70% Superkid Mohair, 30% Silk; 219 yards 200 meters / 25 grams): 3 balls in shade #200 (Off White).
For some reason, I cannot find a link to this exact yarn in the Ravelry database, but you can easily sub in any similar blend with adequate yardage, ie. Sugarbush Yarns Drizzle, or Debbie Bliss Angel etc.

Needles
One 24” (60 cm) circular needle size US 6 (4 mm).
