The Big Cable is a simple top-down cardigan worked all in one piece. The cardigan is worked mostly in Garter stitch with simple cables on the back and both fronts. It is cozy and modern at the same time. And it knits up at supersonic speed with bulky yarn!
The instructions cover long and short sleeves as well as hip and full length.

Sizing
XS (S, M)L, XL, XXL.
The cardigan is designed to be worn with zero to 5cm/2” of positive ease. Sample shown in size M full length with 2.5cm/1” positive ease.

Yarn
Long sleeved full length cardigan will require approximately 705 (810, 890)995, 1065, 1185 meters/770 (886, 975)1088, 1165, 1295 yards of super bulky or bulky weight yarn which gives you the correct gauge.
Suggested yarns: Garnstudio DROPS Andes, Garnstudio DROPS Eskimo, Malabrigo Chunky, Malabrigo Mecha, Colour Adventures Big, Alize Superlana Maxi, Loops & Threads Cozy Wool. Sample shown in Garnstudio DROPS Andes (65% wool, 35% alpaca) - #0206 light beige.

Needles
9 mm/US #13 circular needle (80 cm/32” long) and dpns.
6.5 mm/US #10.5 circular needle (60 cm/24” long) and dpns.

Other
7 (hip length) or 8 (full length) buttons (~2.5 cm/1” diameter), cable needle, tapestry needle, stitch markers, stitch holders/scrap yarn.

Gauge
11 sts and 18 rows over 10 cm/4” in Garter st worked flat with bigger needles.
12 sts and 14 rows over 10 cm/4” in St st worked flat with bigger needles.
Take time to save time and check your gauge. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

The pattern has been tested and tech edited.
Cables are only charted.
