The Bee Beanie
Pattern difficulty: Intermediate.
Due to many color changes and the use of a grid, this pattern may be tricky for beginners. If you are familiar with working with grids and working with several color changes, this pattern would be relatively simple to complete.
Sizing: This pattern is written so that you can make your hat to any size. Pattern includes suggested average adult head measurements but you can create this to fit any size noggin (including kids!)
You will need:
Approx. 150 yards of worsted weight (4) yarn in main color, less than 50 yards each in yellow, black, and white
(I used Caron Simply Soft in Persimmon as my main color and Lion Brand Heartland in Yellowstone and Caron Simply Soft in Black and White for my accent colors.)
Size H/5mm crochet hook (for the brim)
Size J/6mm crochet hook (for the main portion of the hat)
Scissors
Yarn needle
Tape measure
Stitches to know:
Chain (ch)
Slip stitch (sl st)
Single crochet (sc)
Back loop single crochet (blsc)
