Thaw
This pattern was first published in Latvian in the first issue of Radåm magazine as Atkušņa Drēgnumā (Thaw).
These socks are simple in their design and will be a good knitting project for an adventurous beginner. But at the same time, this design pulls you in and makes you want to look closer at every stitch.
Twisted stitches create clean lines and create dimensions on the purl stitch background. The stitch pattern is easy to remember, but at the same time, it keeps your attention and interest.
Socks are worked top-down. The stitch pattern features twisted stitches on a purl stitch background. The heel is formed using German short rows. When the heel is finished, the bottom of the foot is worked in stockinette, but a twisted stitch pattern is carried on top of the foot.
