Thales Crocheted Wrap
Always fascinated with geometry and angles, I designed this wrap/poncho/cowl by connecting right triangles. The pattern is named for Thales of Miletus, the Greek mathematician credited as being the father of geometry.
The pattern includes a link to a private youtube channel where you can watch video tutorials on the techniques used in the pattern. The wide stripes are worked in Tunisian simple stitch. The narrow, fuzzy stripes are worked in single crochet.
This was the 2019 “LYS Tour” pattern for All Wound Up Yarn Shop. All Wound Up Yarn Shop also has kits available for this project.
Thales can be worn a variety of ways, simply by turning the wrap around.
