This design is for traditional cuff down socks with an interesting textured pattern made from just knit and purl stitches. The toe is a classic wedge toe and the heel is constructed with short rows. This is the next step up from a plain ‘vanilla’ sock and therefore ideal for a beginner with some knowledge of short rows, increases/decreases and picking up stitches.

There are some options along the way for customization and I have highlighted those within the pattern.
