This is a beautiful example of how the simplest of stitches can be used to create something truly special. Conceived as an approachable project for beginners, the entire blanket is worked with nothing more than knit and purl stitches. The fabric’s vertical ribs and horizontal welts come together like puzzle pieces to create a tessellated pattern of rhythmic textural diamonds. The blanket’s architectural lines catch the light and create satisfying texture.
