Tensdale
Wrap up in a rustic embrace! A yarn very much of its own kind; raw, sheepy, that keeps its shape and has a smooth and dry touch. Knitted up with geometric elements, it is a down-to-earth shawl with no frills for chilly winter winds or long summer evenings on the porch.
Yarn: Finkhof Merino dünn/thin, 300 m (328 yds)/100 g
Yardage for sample: app. 660 m/720 yd; 220 g (2.2 hanks). All yardages are estimates. Yarn comes in hanks of 100 g.
You may substitute with any sport to worsted weight yarn, preferably woolen spun, that knits up to gauge. Suggested yarn alternatives: Polo Masgot Fine, Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, Cascade Eco, De Rerum Natura Gilliat or Jamieson Aran. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage, so make sure to have enough yarn to finish your project!
Needles: 4.5 mm / US 7; circular needle, cable 80 cm/32 inches or longer
Notions: 6 stitchmarkers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, pins for blocking (optional)
Gauge: 16 stitches/26 rows in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric
Size: 180 cm x 74 cm / 71 x 29 inches after blocking
Thank you to all my testers for your work and the beautiful shawls that you made!
