Teista is a beautiful buttoned down sweater, perfect for wearing at home or out and about camping. The Teista sweater is made with the very soft Saga Wool yarn from Icewear.

Gauge
4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm) = 18 sts and 24 rounds in stockinette stitch on needles US 8 (5 mm).
It is important to have the right gauge to determine the given size. Adjust needle size to match gauge.

The sweater is knitted from bottom up. The ribbing at the bottom of the body is knitted flat followed by knitting the body in the round with stockinette stitch and two purl sts mid front. The sleeves are knitted in the round with stockinette stitch. The stitches from the sleeves and the body are joined to knit the yoke in the round with stranded knitting and decrease. The ribbings at the bottom of the body, sleeves and the necklining are knitted; k 1 st, p 1 st, repeat.
A sewing machine is used to sew into the purl lines before cutting the sweater open.
The button - and the buttonhole bands are knitted separately and sewn to the cut edges.

Aðferðir
Peysan er prjónuð neðan frá og upp. Stroffið neðst á peysunni er prjónað fram og til baka. Eftir það er peysan er prjónuð í hring, með einlitu og tvíbanda prjóni. Peysan er einlit upp að höndum. Umferð byrjar og endar á brugðinni lykkjur á miðjum bol að framan. Lykkjur af ermum og bol eru sameinaðar í berustykki. Munstur á berustykki er prjónað með tvíbandaprjóni og úrtökum upp að hálsmáli.
Stroff neðan á bol og ermum ásamt hálslíningu er prjónað; 1 L sl, 1 L br til skiptis.
Saumað er með saumavél í brugðnu lykkjurnar áður en klippt er upp á milli þeirra til að opna peysuna.
