I wanted to make a tea cozy like an old victorian beehive (skep) and use buttons made by my friend Keely of Feet of Clay. I noticed there weren’t many crocheted hive cozies out there so her is my version. Should fit an average 6 cup teapot.

Special Stitches
Bean stitch - insert hook into stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, insert hook in same stitch draw up a loop (should have 8 stitches on hook); yarn over and pull through all loops, then chain 1 to close stitch.
