Taylor Cable Cocoon
by Beth Nielsen
The silhouette of this sweater couldn’t be simpler, but it’s the cable detail that’s the real feature. This cozy cocoon is inspired by an old pilled sweater a friend gave me that quickly became my favorite. I’ve made a few modifications to it, but the basic idea is the same. Working in the horizontal bar creates a lovely ribbed pattern on the fabric, and the cable keeps the work engaging.
Notions: Tapestry Needle
Notes: Piece has natural bias that will straighten out during blocking. Check your stitch count from time to time.
Skip the stitches behind the post stitches unless otherwise noted.
