Tank Top
Pattern description from One Skein: “If you think that a single skein of yarn isn’t enough for a tank top, here’s the proof that it’s not only possible, but it can be done with flair. This top is made up of two identical side panels that are sewn together along the center front and center back. The knit side faces out on one panel; the purl side faces out on the other. The seams are conspicuously sewn on the outside.”
Finished Size: 30 (32, 34, 36)“ (76 81.5, 86.5, 91.5 cm) chest/bust circumference.
Yarn: Laceweight (CYCA Super Fine #1) yarn, used doubled. Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace (50% silk, 50% wool; 1250 yd 1143 m/4 oz 114 g): #ns16 charcoal in size 34” and #ns2 manzanita in size 36”.
Needles: Size 8 (5 mm): straight. Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; size F/5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook.
Notes:
- Yarn is used double throughout.
- The center front and back have decorative seam allowances that use 0.25” (6 mm) from each selvedge of the body panels. For blocking purposes, the measurements on the schematic show the actual size of the body panels, including seam allowances. However, the 0.5” (1.3 cm) of each panel consumed by the seams is not counted toward the finished chest/bust measurement.
