Pattern available in English and Italian.

“Tamerice” is a feminine sweater knit top-down in the round, in one piece and with no seaming. It is worked almost entirely with the yarn held double, except for the initial section of the yoke, which is worked with the yarn held single and embellished with beads.
The sweater is started by casting on an I-cord which will become the neckline. With the yarn held single, pick up the stitches that will form the yoke. As the yoke is knit, increases are inserted as well as the beads to create a motif similar to the flowers of the Tamerisk tree.
Once this section has been complete, knitting is continued with the yarn held double; the work continues with a series of short rows to raise the back.
When the yoke is completed, the stitches for the sleeves are divided from the body and the three pieces are completed separately.
The sleeves are short and wide; all of the borders are also decorated with a double picot border.

Sizes:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) to fit bust size 76 (86, 96, 106, 117, 127) cm – 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50) in.
If you want the same look as the model in the photograph, choose a size that is 11/14 cm – 4 ½ / 5 ½ in larger than your actual bust measurement.

Neck circumference: 46 (48, 50, 52, 54, 56) cm – 18 ¼ (19, 19 ¾, 20 ½, 21 ¼, 22) in.
Bust circumference: 90 (100, 108, 118, 128, 140) cm – 35 ½ (39 ½, 42 ½, 46 ½, 50 ½, 55 ¼) in.
Length from underarm: 21 (21, 21, 23, 23, 25) cm – 8 ¼ (8 ¼, 8 ¼, 9, 9, 10) in.
Sleeve circumference: 32 (36, 38, 41, 42, 44) cm – 12 ½ (14 ¼, 15, 16 ¼, 16 ½, 17 ½) in.
Sleeves length from underarm: 11 (12, 12, 13, 13, 14) cm – 4 ¼ (4 ¾, 4 ¾, 5 ¼, 5 ¼, 5 ½) in.

Yarn and needles:
KAOS YARN Organic Brushed Alpaca: Magnificent – 2055 (Fingering weight yarn; 100% Alpaca: 225 m – 246 yds / 25 gr – 0.88 oz. ball): 6 (6, 6, 7, 8, 8) balls (1245 1370, 1450, 1550, 1700, 1900 m – 1362 1499, 1586, 1696, 1860, 2078 yds).
Note: the yarn is held double excpet in the initial section of the yoke, which is also embellished by beads.
Circular needles:
3 mm – US 2 ½ with a 40 cm – 16 in and 60 cm – 24 in cable;
4 mm – US 6 with a 40 cm – 16 in, 60 cm – 24 in cable and 80 cm – 32 in cable. If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
391 (408, 425, 442, 476, 510) Miyuki “rocailles” beads, size 6/0 (I suggest getting a few more than necessary just to be on the safe side).
Crochet hook, size 1, for lace work (I suggest testing to make sure the point of the crochet hook passes through the hole in the beads).
Tapestry needle and scissors.
1 stitch marker.
Waste yarn.
Optional:
22 (23, 24, 25, 27, 29) stitchmarkers.
A pair of double pointed needles, size 3 mm – US 2 ½ for the I-cord.

Gauge:
20 sts and 30 rows/rounds = 10 cm – 4 in st st using the yarn held double and needles 4 mm – US 6 (after blocking).

“Tamerice” è un maglione molto femminile dalla linea morbida lavorata dall’alto verso il basso in un unico pezzo e in tondo senza cuciture.
È lavorato quasi interamente con il filato doppiato, tranne la sezione iniziale dello sprone, che è lavorata con il filato singolo e abbellita con delle perline.
Si incomincia avviando un I-cord che diventerà lo scollo. Lungo l’I-cord, con il filato singolo, si riprendono le maglie che formeranno lo sprone.
Si lavora lo sprone, inserendo anche gli aumenti e le perline che creeranno un motivo che ricorda le inflorescenze della tamerice.
Alla fine di questa sezione, si prosegue con il filato doppiato; si prosegue con una serie di ferri accorciati che ne alzano la parte dietro.
Alla fine dello sprone si dividono le maniche dal corpo e i tre pezzi sono completati separatamente lavorando a maglia rasata.
Le maniche sono corte ed ampie.
Tutti i bordi sono decorati con un bordo a dente di gatto.

Taglie:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) vestono un giroseno di 76 (86, 96, 106, 117, 127) cm.
Quando si sceglie la taglia, bisogna considerare che la maglietta ha una linea comoda. Se desiderate la stessa vestibilità della modella in foto, dovrete scegliere una misura che sia di 11/14 cm circa
più ampia della misura del vostro attuale giroseno.

Note: il filato è lavorato doppiato eccetto che nella sezione iniziale dello sprone, nella quale si usano anche le perline.
Ferri circolari:
numero 3 mm con cavo lungo 40 cm e 60 cm;
numero 4 mm con cavo lungo 40 cm, 60 cm e 80 cm. Se necessario modificare il numero dei ferri per ottenere il campione corretto.
Altro:
391 (408, 425, 442, 476, 510) perline Miyuki “rocailles” misura 6/0 (consiglio di prendere alcune di più per sicurezza).
Attenzione: ho acquistato le perline sul sito “Hobbyperline”, ogni bustina da 10 gr ha circa 120 perline. Il colore che ho usato io è: Color-Lined Fuchsia/Aqua Luster (352).
Uncinetto da merletto misura 1 o inferiore (consiglio di fare una prova per vedere se la punta dell’uncinetto passa attraverso il foro della perlina).

22 (23, 24, 25, 27, 29) marcapunti.
un paio di ferri a doppia punta numero 3 mm per l’I-cord iniziale.

Campione:
20 m e 30 f/giri = 10 cm lavorati a m rasata con il filato doppiato e i ferri numero 4 mm (dopo il bloccaggio).
