From the website: Tam with Rose pattern originally printed in Winifred Clark Crocheted and Knitted Sweaters, Scarfs, Hats, Winifred Series Book No. 10. No date of publication shown and no copyright notice printed in the book but it is circa early 1920s. It has the look and format of needlecraft books printed in the early 1920s or before.

4 oz. yarn; pattern doesn’t specify yarn weight but General Instructions at the beginning of the book say that “perle mercerized crochet cotton, in sizes 3 or 5” can be substituted. Example: Speed-Cro-Sheen is a size 3 thread weight.
