This boxy, simply shaped cardigan is easy to throw on over anything. Knit in Shibui Twig, it is light weight with just the right amount of drape.

It is worked in one piece on the bias, from the top down in a garter stitch stripe pattern. The construction is similar to a shawl, but once the sleeve trims are added and the sides are seamed, it transforms into a cardigan!

If you wish to substitute yarn, note that since this design is knit on the bias, the fabric may behave differently and possibly stretch more or less in length & width. However, as the finished garment has a very boxy fit and looks good in a variety of lengths, it is not necessarily a problem, just something to consider. The pattern also includes instructions for adjusting the length.

Intended to be worn with 10-12 inches (25-30 cm) of positive ease.
