This large baby blanket was designed for my sister-in-law who just welcomed her first baby. It is also perfect for a child or as a handsome throw in the living room. The Taiga blanket is knit flat from end to end, with a stunning Japanese lace and cable motif creating an attractive texture framed with a seed stitch border.

Materials
US 9 / 5.5 mm straight or circular needles
If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain accurate gauge
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking material

Gauge
14 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch
Whils gauge is not important as the fit si not crucial, changes in gauge will result in size differences and the amount of yarn needed to complete the project
