Swish
Sometimes, it’s the little details that make a garment really special. The delicate bead embellishment, intricate lace design and subtly frilled cuffs on this elegant jumper will make it a stand out in your wardrobe of woolly wear. Made with super-soft alpaca yarn that comes in a wide range of beautiful solid colours, this jumper feels as good as it looks. Knitted bliss!
Adding beads to your knitting is not hard, we promise! For this pattern, the beads are threaded onto the yarn as you go along, so you don’t have to count out too many at a time. Make sure you work in good light, and place a bead each time you get to a ‘B1’ stitch.
This jumper is knitted in the round from the top down. Beads are threaded onto the work as you need them to avoid having to push them down the yarn, as this could damage the yarn.
During the Chart, there are a series of double yarn overs (yo2). It is important these are seen as two stitches on the following round, where you will work K1, P1 into each double yarn over.
On WS short rows, yarn overs are used instead of wrapped stitches to prevent gaps from forming when working the following RS round. Alternatively, you may use whichever short row method you prefer. A video tutorial can be found at the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCgycxLce94
