This sweater is based upon a much-loved piece of clothing with unusual details but a very flattering shape--created by A-line shaping plus side panels. The version (shown in photos) is made with a DK alpaca + fine mohair to bring it to a worsted weight gauge. But you could just use a worsted weight yarn that knits to gauge. (I also made a version in Estelle Linocott, color Forest.)

There are lots of pieces, knit in the order described in the pattern. But that does not mean a lot of seaming. Most of the pieces are attached as they are knit.

Gauge is measured over a charted stitch pattern which is easily memorized.

Sizes offered are as follows:
S (32–34), M (36–38), L (40–42), 1X (44–46), 2X (48–50)
