DESCRIPTION
The Sweetheart Hat is a sweet gift to crochet for your loved ones for Valentine’s Day. This simple single crochet hat features color work hearts along the sides.
Customize your hearts and hat to your liking. The written pattern includes pictures and video tutorial links.
This crochet pattern is written for one stitch count and adjusting hook size to achieve size.

• MATERIALS
100-150yds/91-137m worsted weight yarn; divided into main hat color-Color A (80yds/73yds-120yds/110m) and heart/trim color-Color B (20yds/18m-30yds/27m)
I used a combination of brands and contrasting colors I had on hand, including: Big Twist, I Love This Yarn, Red Heart Super Saver.

GAUGE + SIZING
baby 0-3 mos use hook size d/3.25mm = 4 sc X 5 rounds = 1″ X 1″, 4.75″ circle, 6″ tall
baby 3-6 mos use hook size e/3.5mm =  4 sc X 4.5 rounds = 1″ X 1″, 5″ circle, 6″ tall
baby 6-12 mos use hook size f/3.75mm = 8sc X 8 rnds = 2″ or 5.25″ circle, 6.5″ tall
toddler 12-18 mos use hook size g/4mm =7.5 sc X 8 rnds = 2″or = 5.75″ circle, 6.75″ tall
toddler 18-24 mos use hook size h/5mm = 7.5 sc X 7.5 rnds = 2″ or a = 6″ circle, 7″ tall
preschool 2-5 years use hook size I/5.5mm = 7 sc X 7 rnds = 2″or a =6.25″ circle, 7.5″ tall
child 5-10 years use hook size j/6mm = 3.5 sc X 4 rnds = 1″or a 6.25″ circle, 7.75″ tall
Teen/sm adult use hook size K/6.5 = 3 sc x 4 rnds = 1” or a 6.5” circle, 8” tall
M/L Adult use hook size L/7mm = 3 sc x 3.5 rnds = 7” circle, 8.25” tall
or adjust your hook/tension to get the needed gauge
