This pattern is for a cute swirly coaster inspired by Christmas peppermint candy.
Make them for your home this Christmas or give a set away as a gift!
The coaster is made in half treble crochet (UK terms) stitches in the tapestry crochet technique.

A pattern for a sweet hanging Christmas decoration is also included. This pattern starts in the same way as the coaster, then the ‘wrapper’ is added, plus a hanging loop so the candy can adorn your Christmas tree!

You will need:
Yarn:
DK cotton yarn in two colours ~ approx. 6g of Yarn A and 4g of Yarn B per coaster.

I used Rico essentials cotton DK in shades Red (2) and White (80) which is 100% cotton, 120m/131yds per ball.
Hook:
3.5mm hook

Size: coaster = 11 cm diameter
The decoration is approx. 11.5 - 12 cm across including the ‘wrapper’.
