• Project Level: Complex.
• Yarn: DK/8ply/Cat. 3 weight yarn, ~11-15g/0.4-0.5Oz per coaster. Thinner Worsted yarns may also be suitable. Low-pill or non-pill, easy wash fibre (such as cotton, cotton blends, bamboo blends, and certain acrylics).
• Hook: Use yarn label instructions as a guide for selecting hook size. Swatch to determine the optimal hook size for your tension.
• Coaster Size: Varies with weight of chosen yarn and design. ~13-18cm/5.25-7in in diameter.
• Gauge: Specific gauge not required.
• Stitch Terminology: US and UK files provided. Refer also to pattern Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
• Pattern Synopsis: Constructed in the round. The first six rounds construct a textured circular coaster. The unique texture results from post, third loop and puff stitches. Two options are provided for the final seventh round – a flower border, or a star border.
