Insights on Yarn Selection
When working with synthetic yarn, the resulting doll may be sturdier and bulkier than one made from 100% wool, despite the yarn specifications suggesting it provides more yardage. This type of yarn is ideal for the doll’s body. If you’re using materials from your stash, feel free to experiment and observe how the body turns out. Make up the doll and then, create the outfits. While crafting the outfits, it is recommended to check the fit and adjust the number of stitches and rows as needed to ensure a proper fit.
While the project can be crafted with DK weight yarn, it’s best to select one that is on the finer side, particularly for knitting outfits.

All parts are knitted flat and sewn up at the end.
The knitting skills required are the basic knit and purl, however, take care when you are assembling the parts. Previous doll making experience is advantageous.
The dolls share the basic body pattern. The outfits are secured to the bodies and are not removable.
