Size 10 U.S. / 6 mm straight or circular needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Approx 1 yard of smooth contrasting scrap yarn for provisional cast-on, yarn needle
GAUGE
13 sts and 26 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Honeycomb Brioche stitch, with yarn held double
Note: Honeycomb Brioche gauge can be quite hard to assess due to the stitches being tricky to read. Gauge is not crucial for this project but is provided to help you anticipate yarn usage.
PATTERN NOTES
This cowl begins with a provisional cast-on. It is knit flat, with yarn held double, and grafted together to form a loop. Because of this, the cowl can be knit to length desired and fitted to the wearer’s comfort.
