Ever bought those little sweets for the Christmas tree and then spent the whole month picking them up when they fall off?

These sweet-holders are designed to be filled with chocolates and then hung on the branches. They’re a great size for holding chocolate eggs, and they make pretty decorations too.

There are three designs: plain, lace-textured, and bobbly.

Stitches used: k2tog, p2tog, sl1k, sl1k2psso, yfwd, plus a popcorn stitch which is explained in the pattern.

You will need:

· Wool, very small amount per holder. I used Double Knit (8-6 ply, “light worsted”.) Tension square: 10cm x 10cm square is 24 stitches across and 32 rows.

· Knitting needles – I used UK size 11 (3.0mm, US size 2.5)

· Tapestry needle

· White cord elastic. Mine was very thin (about 0.5mm.)
