The pattern specifies:
Bedspread Weight Cotton Thread (size 10), approximately 1 ball (282 yards per ball).
Steel crochet hook size 6 (1.50 mm) or size needed for gauge.
Caution: A size 6 Bates hook is 1.60 mm; if you use Bates hooks, a size 7 is 1.50 mm. A size 6 Boye hook is 1.80 mm; if you use Boye hooks, a size 8 is 1.50 mm.
Gauge: Rnds 1-4 = 2.25” / 5.5 cm
Stitches: 2-dc Cluster, 3-dc Cluster, Treble Crochet, V-Stitch, Picot, 4-tr Cluster.
The doily is worked in 21 rounds; an additional 6 rounds are worked on both sides to make the “wings.” The instructions begin on page 11, and are verbal; there is no stitch diagram chart. The photograph of the doily appears on the leaflet front cover.
This doily is similar to two other with the same basic shape (Four Fan Oval, Fantabulous) but this one has a popcorn-style pineapple section.
