Sweet Cupcake
This delicate floral colourwork design is a treat for fans of vintage prints.
Yarn:
50g balls of Rowan Wool Cotton 4ply
- A - 2 balls Paper (shade 486)
- B - 1 ball Antique (shade 480)
- C - 1 ball Petal (shade 484)
- D - 1 ball Flower (shade 485)
- E - 1 ball Leaf (shade 491)
Needles:
3.25mm (UK 10, US 3) knitting needles
Accessories:
- Five buttons
- 30cm or 11.75in square cushion pad
Tension:
28 sts and 36 rows to 10cm or 4in square over st st using 3.25mm (UK 10, US 3) knitting needles
Notes:
Work chart using the intarsia and Fair Isle methods, working the small diamonds using individual lengths of yarn, and carrying the yarn for the criss-cross pattern across the back of the work when not in use. The coloured flowers and coloured centeres of the diamonds will be added later.
