It might be odd to crown this “sweater of the year” so early in the year, but we know this is going to stay a favorite all year through, and probably for years to come as well!
The sweater of the year has a fantastic stitch pattern and the choice of either soft alpaca or pure wool for a perfect thin wool sweater, the kind that we find use for all year round.

The pattern looks more complicated than it is, and you quickly get into it after having done it once.

Easy / Worked bottom up. Sleeve stitches are picked up and knit down from the shoulders.
