An easy introduction to Bavarian twisted stitch cables, with a very practical use. This cosy makes a great protective covering for your smartphone.

SIZE
The cosy measures 6½cm/2½“ wide and 18½cm/7¼” long after blocking. It will stretch to fit most smartphones, becoming wider and shorter to do so.

MATERIALS
DK weight yarn with approximately 220 metres/245 yards per 100g. You will need 15g.
The pictured sample was knitted with Eden Cottage Yarns ‘Bowland DK’ in the Harbour shade.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
4mm/US 6 needles for flat knitting.

TENSION/GAUGE
25 sts and 27 rows/rounds per 10cm/4” in blocked 2x2 cabled rib pattern (see below).
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve the specified tension.
