Svanhild
Svanhild roughly translates to warrior swan in Norse mythology.
The intricate mixture of the undulating main center cable panel framed by twisted stitch cable panels and 3 stitch ribbing are reminiscent of the designs of ancient times.
Svanhild is knit bottom up on circular needles with optional waist shaping on either side of a center twisted rib pattern, to divide for front and back. Sleeves are knit cuff up with shaping on either side of a center underarm twisted rib pattern to the cap shaping for set in sleeves. The cowl turtleneck is knit from the neck up in the twisted rib pattern increasing in size for a comfortable fit.
ERRATA: Please note that on page two before “Divide for Front and Back” it should read……..……ending with an even row (or WS row). The dividing row is a RS row and all armhole decreases are made on a WS row.
