Super Simple Beginner's Beanie
Are any of you looking for a warm, winter hat to keep you cozy during this cold season? If so, I’d love to share with you how I whipped up this super simple and beginner-friendly beanie using just one skein of yarn and about a half-hour to spare!
Finished Measurements:
Brim circumference: approximately 20 inches (51 centimeters). Can be stretched to fit 24 inches (61 centimeters)
Beanie height: approximately 7.5 inches (19 centimeters)
Level:
Beginner! Requires familiarity with the stitches and terms used below.
Stitches/Terms Used (US Terminology):
MR: magic ring (a.k.a. magic circle, magic loop)
Ch: chain
Sc: single crochet
Dc: double crochet
Sl st: slip stitch
Inc: increase (two sc in same stitch)
Inc-dc: increase double crochet (two dc in same stitch)
BLO: back loops only
Materials:
Super bulky (6) weight yarn
(I used one skein of Lion Brand’s Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® Yarn)
9.00 mm crochet hook
Scissors
Optional: yarn needle
