One day at the craft store my youngest found some velvet yarn, snuggled it, and raved about how soft it was, so I gave in! The fact that it came in the perfect color to match my winter coat didn’t hurt either! After working with it, I was super impressed with the feel and wanted to be wrapped up in it every chilly day. Since it’s frowned upon to wander around daily life wrapped up in a blanket, I designed this cowl! It’s like being wrapped in a velvet blanket, but cuter and more socially acceptable!

You need to know:
Chain
Half Double Crochet
Single Crochet
Slip Stitch
Working in the 3rd loop (photo tutorial provided)
Working in the back bump of the chair (photo tutorial provided)

Matireials:
Yarn: any bulky weight (level 5) velvet yarn approx. 255 yds
Hooks: US K (6.5mm)
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Tape measure
