Sunstar is a reminder of celebrations and it knit as a one piece circular lace knit project. Beginning with a multitude of yarnover explosions, it is combined with the ladybird stitch pattern and star points, creating a project that can be worn as a shawl, wedding veil, grace a party table or as a decorative blanket or throw.
The featured project, measuring 42” in diameter has been produced using size 4 needles in a lace weight yarn, with a three stitch, looped and crocheted edge. A variety of yarn weights and needle sizes can be used in DPNs and circulars.
Written with detailed instructions and charted, the pattern can be completed with experience in lace stitches; includes yarnovers, one, two and three stitch decreases and increases. Every effort to provide the user with an error free pattern has been made.
Directions for both a scalloped and a lace edge finish are provided. Bind off directions are given for both a stretch or a three stitch, crochet bind off. The project blocks with ease and radiates perfectly.
