I am absolutely in love with my newest hat creation which I call the Sunset Hat with Night Sky Pom-Pom. Let me tell you how I got inspired to make this gorgeously easy free crochet pattern.

The Hat features the Moss Stitch for which I have a very detailed tutorial.

Materials:

• Caron Simply Soft, in colors

White
Soft Blue
Red
Pumpkin
Dark Country Blue
Royal Blue

• Scissors
• 5.0mm hook
• tapestry needles
• pom-pom maker

Gauge:

2 moss stitches x 4 rows = 1 square inch

Stitches used (US terms):

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sc in BLO = sc in back loop only
sl st = slip stitch
ch sp = chain space

Final Size:

8.5 inches in diameter x 9 inches in height without the pom-pom (with: 10.5 inches)
