Sun Dipped Bonnet
How adorable is this bonnet?! It’s all in the details! Bright joyful colors are offset with lacy white trim and a split in the back lets a ponytail peak out. Keep the brim down for best sun coverage or up for a different look.
Skill level: beginner to intermediate
Finished dimensions: Sized for children (head circumference 20”/50cm)
Yarn: raffia worsted weight yarn, size 4; about 2.8 oz/80 g, 200 y/180 m of MC and small amount of CC. I used 2 skeins in Sunshine of Raffia Yarn by Premier Home (band info 1.41 oz/40 g, 99 yds/90 m), and White Raffia Ribbon from PaperMart.
Hook: 4 mm crochet hook US G, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Other materials: stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 10 sc and 10.5 rows = 2”
