Yarn DMC Natura Just Cotton (100% cotton; 170 yd /1.75 oz): #03 sable, 2 balls.

Hook Sizes F/5 (3.75 mm) and C/2 (2.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions Yarn needle; flip-flops, 1 pair (see Notes); sewing awl or sharp screwdriver; quilters pins; purchased lace fabric similar color to yarn; embroidery needle and embroidery floss in a variety of colors (see Notes) (Sample used DMC 6-Strand Embroidery Floss: 225, 223, 3011, 3013, 3 skeins each and 3721, 3809, 935, 3817, 2 skeins each).

Gauge Rows 1–11 = 2” in patt.

Notes If you are making both the purse (see previous pattern) and the shoes, you will need 4 balls total.

The lace purchased for this project should have motifs large enough to embroider.
