This circular shawl is knit from the center point out. Increases occur between each band of flowers to shape the shawl. It is worked in 5 rose-colored hues, with three different colors of seed beads to create tiny sparkles throughout the floral motifs. Please note the lace patterns are presented in chart form ONLY.

Inspired by Margaret Rogerson’s fantasy novel, An Enchantment of Ravens, this is the first in the series of the seasonal fairy court-themed shawls. In Summerland, it’s always summer. The wheat is ripe and the grasshoppers sing happily in the warm, lazy summer days. At the Summerland court, a lavish ball is taking shape, with each of the courtiers clad in more splendid outfit than the next. The ladies are all named after flowers and their outfits are covered with lovely sparkling jewels.

The sample used two half skeins (217 ½ yards) and three full skeins (435 yards) in the Summerland gradient kit to complete project as written. You will also need three colors of size 6 seed beads as follows: For Charts A, B and C: 282 Silver-Lined Plum Miyuki seed beads. For Chart D: 624 Silver-Lined Lilac seed beads.
For Chart D and Bind-off: 336 plus 144 for bind-off (total of 480) Silver-Lined Amethyst seed beads.

There is a kit available at Wooly Wonka Fibers that contains the yarn and beads plus a copy of the pattern to download to recreate the sample as shown.
