Summer Nights on the North Fork of the Duchesne
This is the final sweater in the seasons series. It was inspired by one of my husband’s favorite places to fly fish, the North Fork of the Duchesne River in the Uinta mountains in northeastern Utah. Allegedly, he caught 80 fish there one summer day. I wasn’t there but this is a tribute to that momentous day.
The motifs in the sweater are rainbow trout, pine forests and the summer night sky. All sweaters in the series have the same border motif and this sweater, as the others has a nod to the next season, an aspen leaf in the water with the trout.
The yardage is deceptive. Full skeins are not required for several colors. There will be lots of yarn left over.
