Summer Blooms Shawl
Summer Blooms is the 2nd in a series of four shawls that I have called the Four Seasons Collection.
Please check this Shuttermonkey Designs Discussion Thread to find out the latest discounts and/or promotions currently running on my designs.
This is a crescent shaped shawl, worked in one piece, from the bottom up. Cast on using a larger sized needle than used to knit the rest of shawl. The bottom border of the shawl is knitted first before completing the shawl body knitting in short rows.
Instructions for the shawl border section are provided in both written and charted format. However, instructions for the shawl body are written only.
The design for this Summer Blooms Shawl was inspired by the four seasons. I live in the northern hemisphere where we are currently enjoying our summer season. Occasionally the sun is shining and the flowers are in full bloom.
I have used Scrumptious 4ply yarn by Fyberspates to knit this shawl in a shade called Gold. The colour and the fabulous blend of merino and silk in this yarn are just perfect for knitting a shawl as sunny and vibrant as summer blooms.
