Teal/petrol approx 30g
White approx 15g
Polyester toy stuffing
Safety Eyes 2x 12 mm, 2 x 8mm - please note that attached eyes are not recommended for toys created for children!
Useful items
Scissors
Tapestry or Darning Needle
Stitch markers
Hook size needed
2.00 mm
Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a Spider roughly measuring
20cm in width
21cm in length
8cm in depth
All the crochet stitches used in this pattern are based on American crochet terms
If you are planning to make your spider in a heavier weight yarn, adjust your hook size accordingly. Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using. You need the stitches tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches. I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
Abbreviation’s
Sl st= slip stitch
Sc = single crochet
Dc= double crochet
Hdc = Half double crochet
dec= decrease, crochet 2 stitches together
