NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer este cuello es necesario saber hacer un montaje provisional de puntos, tejer punto derecho en circular, conocer la técnica del colourwork, tejer siguiendo un gráfico y cerrar puntos con el método del remallado (antes llamado kitchener) Es imprescindible saber leer gráficos, ya que las instrucciones para tejer el cuello con el detalle en colourwork se dan únicamente en forma de gráfico.

CONSTRUCCIÓN
Este cuello se teje en circular. Comenzando por un montaje provisional de puntos, se cierra en circular y se continúa tejiendo según las instrucciones. Una vez alcanzada la longitud deseada, se retoman los puntos del montaje provisional y se une el comienzo con el final por medio de una costura con el método del remallado (antes llamado kitchener).

MUESTRA
25 puntos y 26 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” en el motivo del cuello sin bloquear.

HILO
3 ovillos, 2 en color 1 (color principal) y 1 en color 2 (color de contraste) de Ginger de Rosas Crafts (75% mohair super kid, 25% seda; 212.5 m / 25 g; 232.4 yd / 0.88 oz), tejidos a doble hebra.

En el cuello rosa de la foto se han utilizado 4 colores, el consumo de los 3 colores de contraste equivale a un ovillo de un sólo color de contraste, de ahí que en el hilo necesario se apunte a un único ovillo en ese color.

Los colores utilizados son 103 como color principal y 108, 109 y 110 como colores de contraste en la versión rosa y el 112como color principal y 108, 109 y 110 como colores de contraste en la versión rosa.

AGUJAS
Agujas circulares de 4.5 mm US 7 con cable de 40 cm 16” o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión. Otro juego de agujas (pueden ser un número menor) para recuperar los puntos del montaje provisional.

SKILLS
To knit this infinity cowl you need to know how to perform a provisional cast-on, to knit in the round, to be familiar with the stranded colourwork technique, to work following charted instructions, and to perform a kitchener bind-off. Moreover, it is essential to be able to follow charted instructions, as they are used for the colourwork detail of the cowl and written instructions are not provided.

CONSTRUCTION
This cowl is knit in the round. Starting with a provisional cast-on, the work is joined in the round and is knit following the instructions below. Once the desired length has been achieved, the sts from the provisional cast-on are recovered and the beginning and end of the cowl are grafted together with kitchener stitch.

GAUGE
25 stitches and 26 rounds in 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” in colourwork motif, without blocking.

YARN
3 balls, 2 in Colour 1 (main colour) and 1 in Colour 2 (contrast colour) of Ginger by Rosas Crafts (75% Super Kid Mohair, 25% Silk; 212.5 m / 25 g; 232.4 yd / 0.88 oz), held double.

4 colours have been used in the pink cowl pictured, but the 3 contrast colours used amount to 1 ball of contrast colour (used in 1 colour), that is why the yarn requirements specify only 1 ball for colour 2. The colourways used are 103 as main colour and 108, 109 and 110 as contrast colour in the pink version, and 112 as main colour and 108, 109 and 110 as contrast colour in the blue version.

NEEDLES
4.5 mm US 7 circular needles with a cable length of 40 cm 16”, or the required needle size to obtain gauge. Another set of needles (they can be a size smaller) to pick up the stitches from the provisional cast-on.

OTHER NOTIONS
1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round. Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
