Knit in a soft, luxury yarn blend, this scarf or stole in multiple variations (infinity scarf, flat scarf, stole) is more of an atmosphere than a garment. A slightly fuzzy yarn will create a light-catching halo in the undulating stitch pattern, which is accented by tiny nupps and openwork panels of fagoting; feel free to substitute beads or plain purl sts for nupps. Here, the infinity scarf features a straight edge, while the flat scarf and stoles have pointelle edgings, but the effect is easily reversed to taste (see pattern notes).

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.
