Suecica Top
This top is knitted from the bottom up. You start by knitting back and front piece separately to make a split. Then connect these to knit around until you divide for the sleeve opening. Then knit the front and back separately. The shoulders are stitched together and then I-cord is knitted around the neckline and sleeve openings.
Inspiration
Chamaepericlymenum suecicum-Cornus suecica
Scrub is a perennial plant that is often called Coffee flower. It grows in northern regions, by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans apart from most of Siberia and Canada. It grows in heather and forest with acidic soil. It blooms from May to July. The red berries taste nothing and are not poisonous.
The flowers knitted in this top have 4 leaves that illustrate the 4 white support leaves around the flower head. The braids form the green leaves.
